Grantham Farm is a recently created suburb that was separated from the northern part of Riverstone. The suburb was named after Grantham Farm Estate, a well-known estate in the area which was an original subdivision of Riverstone created in 1810.

Grantham Farm is transitioning into a leafy green family-oriented suburb forging its own modern identity with deep rooted colonial heritage embedded within its DNA, located within the northern boundary of the Blacktown local government area.

The suburb was named after its dairy heritage and once developed it will comprise of 4,000 dwellings, a primary school, two sports fields, a 5.5-hectare (14-acre) town centre and a 4-hectare (9.9-acre) lake central to the development.
