Gables

Welcome home to Gables

Gables is a newly created suburb located in the Hills District in Sydney. The suburb was recently carved out from Box Hill and is located 42 kilometres north-west from the Sydney Central Business District.

Originally the area was a large dairy farm owned by Robert Hurrell. Due to the large size of the dairy, the farm was divided into two parts Blue Gables and Red Gables. The residential development of the suburb was first master planned by Celestino and is the largest master planned community in the Hills District. Celestino began to develop the estate in 2015, later selling the remaining undeveloped portion of the estate to Stockland in March 2020.

The suburb was named after its dairy heritage and once developed it will comprise of 4,000 dwellings, a primary school, two sports fields, a 5.5-hectare (14-acre) town centre and a 4-hectare (9.9-acre) lake central to the development
